On July, 16th 2024 the student Kornelija Borčić has successfully defended her master’s thesis under the title Impact of the prismatic coefficient and the longitudinal position of the center of buoyancy on the total resistance of the passenger ship, as a part of the project STARSHIP.
Project team member prof. PhD Sanjin Braut gave a presentation entitled Transient vibration analysis and fatigue assessment of the ship propulsion shaft FE model at the MMT Symposium, held from June 26 to 28, 2024 in Guimarães, Portugal.
Project manager prof. PhD Nastia Degiuli gave a presentation entitled The detrimental effects of biofilm on ship fuel consumption and CO2 emissions at the international conference 2nd AP Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems, held from April 2 to 5, 2024 in Gold Coast , Australia.
On March 1, 2024, Barbara Anušić defended her bachelor’s thesis entitled The influence of trim on the total resistance of a container ship model in confined water, as part of the project STARSHIP.
Project manager prof. PhD Nastia Degiuli gave a presentation entitled The effect of slow steaming on the ship performance in calm water at the international conference 4th LA Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems, held from January 14 to 17, 2024 in Viña del Mar, Chile.
