Rector’s award for the academic year 2022/2023

Kornelija Borčić, univ. bacc. ing. nav. arch., a graduate student of the naval architecture at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture is the winner of the Rector’s award for the academic year 2022/2023 for the paper entitled “Numerical investigation of the influence of shallow water on the total resistance of the solar catamaran” written as part of the Croatian Science Foundation research project IP-2020-02-8568, “Sustainable slow-speed navigation for low-carbon shipping”.

Doctoral thesis topic defence

On February 1^st, 2023. PhD candidate Carlo Giorgio Grlj successfully defended his doctoral thesis topic entitled “Numeričko određivanje hidrodinamičkih značajki broda pri izvanprojektnim uvjetima / Numerical assessment of ship hydrodynamic characteristics in off-design conditions“, under the supervision of prof. PhD Nastia Degiuli.
